Field of application

Ebrofix D is a fixing agent which greatly improves the wet fastness properties of many acid and direct dyes, i.e. to perspiration, water and washing. It can also be used to deepen the shade of dyeings on combination tanned leather.

  • enables a far greater number of dyes to be used to meet wet fastness requirements, particularly for shoe upper which requires deep penetration.
  • suitable for clothing and gloving leathers.
  • no adverse effect on the handle of the leather.
  • does not affect the light fastness or rubbing.
  • gives a shade deepening effect on combination or veg-tanned leathers where affinity is poor.

Ebrofix D is applied after acidification with formic acid in a new float of 25 °C. Running time is 20 - 30 minutes.
