Dilution

combinations with other fatliquors have to be stirred thoroughly before dilution, dilution method: 1 : 3 with water of 50 °C – 60 °C

Field of application

Water-repellent additive which contains silicone, used to enhance the water resistance of the crust. Ebenin SME may also be applied to crust in order to obtain a silky handle and to improve the softness.

    Application

    Ebenin SME is applied after acidification before capping with chrome or aluminum tannins. It can be used in all hydrophobic types as a special fatliquor additive. Ebenin SME can be emulsified with different combinations of Licrols and then added to the drum. The quantity should be 0.5 % - 5.0 % of the shaved weight.

    Remark

    Ebenin SME is a technical emulsion and variations in colour and viscosity can happen. The properties for application are not touched by this.

    Storage temperature

    Storage at temperatures between 5 °C and 40 °C.

    Shelf life

    Up to 6 months in the original sealed packing.

    Stir before use.
